The Hero Shooter Marvel Rivals Boldly Introduces the Latest Lady Loki Skin
You might dismiss Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, creator NetEase earns credit for finding creative ways to engage its eager and dedicated fanbase. Enter Lady Loki, a completely new skin for the current Strategist hero Loki, offering players a comics-accurate version of the Norse deity.
Not Hela, But Loki
Despite earlier fan speculation, the highly anticipated Lady Loki costume is definitely not a skin for Hela. Rather, it is a full-on reskin of Loki the character, featuring new voice lines. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki retains all of Loki's signature powers: his projectile attack, Deception, and Doppelgänger. The only change is her new appearance, designed to appeal to an audience more than ready to spend their in-game currency.
Hearing and Seeing Lady Loki
Here is a glimpse at Lady Loki in action, along with a sample of her new voiceover, courtesy of voice actor Abby Trott. Notably Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.
Her lines and onscreen presence bring a new dynamic to the familiar kit.
Opening the Door to Possibilities
Now that NetEase has broken the seal with this gender-swapped skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is already speculating about similar swaps. Fan suggestions currently include:
- The character Gwenpool as the upcoming Deadpool.
- Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as the God of Thunder.
- Spider-Gwen as Spider-Woman.
The big question remains: Does NetEase have the courage to deliver more obscure alternate versions, such as one-time Ms. Marvel Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That likely hinge on fan demand!
When to Get the Skin
The Lady Loki skin will be available in Marvel Rivals from January 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST until January 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST.
