Real Madrid's winger Issues Regret to The Madrid Club Devotees

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has netted five goals in ten Spanish league appearances during the current campaign.

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his reaction when substituted in the recent intense Clasico clash triumph.

He was taken off in the 72nd minute and showed his frustration by walking immediately to the dressing room.

Vinicius subsequently came back to the dugout and, after his side's narrow triumph, sought to engage the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match incidents.

"Today I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was substituted in the Clasico," he posted on social media.

"In the same way as I have said in person during this morning's training, I would like to apologise again to my teammates, the club, and the president.

"Occasionally fervor takes over me because I continuously aim to win and help my team. My determined nature originates in the passion I hold for this team and all it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from Brazil in recent years for £38.7m and has accumulated triple figures in more than 300 games.

But his career in the Madrid is far from certain with reports in lately indicating that the club would contemplate allowing the player move on if they got a appropriate bid.

When the winger was taken off on Sunday, cameras from network Dazn picked him up saying: "Again me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I go, I'm leaving."

In his most recent post on the platform, Vinicius stated: "I vow to keep striving constantly for the welfare of the club, as I have done since the first day."
